Decided to try the Saffron again, as a few months ago (the other owners) we had a bad do-invited to go back for a free meal but we decided not to. We ordered a Takeaway this time , I had the Chicken Chat on Puri (starter) which was excellent, my Wife, 2 Onoin Bhajis-no dressing or salad which surprised us, but she enjoyed the Bhajis. I had the Honey Chicken -excellent again. My Wife had the Nowabi Chicken which again was delicious (I had a taste!) Pilau Rice again, plenty of it and good. We also ordered a Peshwari Nan-unfortunately this wasn't good, it ended up in the bin, as it was cooling, it was like leather, couldn't even have a second bite. Very disappointed. Was it microwaved, to be like this? Free delivery too, as Michaels charge £3! We will definitely go again, or have a takeawy, but no Peshwari nan.

Best restaurant I have been to. My favourite place for a Korma. Prices are very reasonable. Takeaway service is fantastic too. Pleasant and friendly staff. All in all a great restaurant that I highly recommend.

Having eaten from this restaurant before (takeaway about 5 years ago) I was looking forward visiting again for a friends birthday. But I very quickly found that the standards have drastically slipped in the years since my last visit. Firstly myself and my partner were standing at the bar for about 20 minutes before ordering our drinks which would have been understandable had it been busy but there were only 4 people in front of us, one of whom ordered a pint of Cobra only to be offered a pint that had been sat behind the bar for at least 10 minutes and when he requested a fresh pint, the waiter just said "no there's nothing wrong with that one". After being seated for a few minutes I was a little shocked to see a waiter pick up a fork that had fallen on the floor, wipe it on his jeans and place it back on the table next to me. My level of concern rose after some of us had opted for the banquet and soon discovered that the tandoori chicken was actually raw and bloody in the middle, after a number of us had complained about this to the manager, he told us that if we wanted the chicken well done we should have asked for it. Silly me, I didn't realise that some people prefer to eat their chicken raw. He didn't even remove the raw chicken from the table so it sat there all night. Following the chicken issue there were 5 of us (out of 20) who didn't eat anything at all so in an attempt to avoid any issues at the end of the night I spoke to the manager to explain that there would be 5 of us who will not be eating and to remove our meals from the bill, he simply said he would sort it out later. When we went to pay he refused to remove any more than 2 meals from the bill and then threatened to call the police if we didn't pay, he finally agreed to remove the 5 meals from the bill and we happily paid for the remaining 15. The managers attitude was absolutely disgraceful, especially following an issue as serious as raw chicken and at no point did we receive anything that even came close to an apology. It's safe to say that we will not be visiting Saffron again.

As a regular at the Saffron, I can only recommend that everyone tries it. It's got a good atmosphere and the staff are superb and always have a welcoming smile. The food is excellent and there is quite a choice of different dishes to choose from. We even go on Christmas Day, and even the Christmas Dinner for the ones that don't want to try a Curry is absolutely superb.
Well Done Saffron, see you soon.

I went to Saffron just before Christmas for my birthday night out and we had a lovely night. It was booked late but staff did everything they could to squeeze us in and we weren't disappointed.
The waiters and managers were really helpful and attentive and were more than happy to recommend different dishes.
Service was quick and efficient and the food was lovely. It is reasonably priced and in a good location within Poulton. I would definitely recommend, it's my favourite restaurant for miles.

Excellent food, Excellent atmosphere, Excellent staff. Saffron is the place to eat in Poulton. We have recommended Saffron to people and family and friends when they come up from around the country always want an Indian from Saffron. Highly Recommended to both the inexperienced curry eater, and the experienced.
You fancy something with a little more heat the staff will endeavour to please.

On a girls' night out, booked Saffron for a change. The 5 of us varied, from me, as a regular visitor to Indian restaurants who tries many different dishes and likes my dishes spicy, to 2 fairly inexperienced,1 very inexperienced and 1 who thought she didn't like Indian food, but who was converted. The food was lovely, I had a taste of most and everything was really good.On a Saturday night, the place was very busy, but . the service was very attentive, even to the point of asking us if we wanted to change tables when the party next to us were a little (but not unduly or offensively so) boisterous. The prices were reasonable and I would definitely pay another visit.
