The Sailors’ Safety is an old smugglers pub at Pwllgwaelod Beach on the Pembrokeshire coast. It dates back to 1593 and is named for the light it once kept burning as a guide to ships traversing Fishguard Bay. It’s now under new ownership as a restaurant and bar opening for lunch and dinner seven days a week with seafood featuring prominently on the menu. The pub also has a beer garden with great sea views and is a popular stopover for walkers on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
