I'm never going back to this place. I went there with my some family and friends, and we were all enjoying our food until my brother found a small stone in his dish. We inspected it and there was no doubting that it was a stone, the kind of which you may find in the ground or annoying you at the bottom of your shoe. About 15mm long. I pointed it out to the manager/owner fellow, expecting some kind of apologetic bemusement or at least some acknowledgement of the stone-like properties of the offending article. Instead, he proceeded to explain to me that the stone in question was in the dish because of its marvelous perfumed qualities to bring added flavour to the food. He could tell I wasn't totally convinced and said that he would grab some of the raw ingredient from the kitchen to show me. 5 minutes later he appeared with a little tray with broken up cassia sticks, and began to speak about them and their flavour enhancing properties (but he hadn't brought the stone back with him for some reason). I hate being treated like an idiot, and told him that what he was showing me bore no relation to what my brother found in his dish. I even congratulated the quality of all the other food, saying that it wasn't such a big deal about the stone, but that it was definitely a stone and not something else. He then told me that obviously I know everything about the ingredients, so there was no need for him to be there, and marched off in the direction of the kitchen. I didn't eat another bite of my meal, and neither did anyone else at the table. To be treated with so much disdain is not something I look for when I go out for a meal, so I will be giving Sangam a wide berth from now on. Go to The original Third Eye instead, the food is and always has been much better and they respect their customers.
Mystery Diner
DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT - ABSOLUTELY AWFUL
The food was tasteless sludge. Service lazy and poor - order taken was incorrect and the 'correct' dish served amazingly quickly. Not sure if the correct dish was actually served as tasteless, oily and unidentifiable.
Comments about the quality of the food met with a disinterested smile and nod. Bill delivered to the table without being requested.
Not a pleasant meal.

Sangam 2
After leaving the UK some 18 years ago to live in Southern Spain, never returning home during this time, I really missed good old fashioned Indian food. On arrival at Manchester I was recommended by family to try the Sangam - a recommendation worth every mouthful - I returned to Spain with my taste buds revived....Thank you Sangam 2.
Sangam 2
Yes as good if not better than its sister in rusholme, well worth a visit, you will not be disappointed. Also serves Thai food but we haven? tried it.

Sangam 2

Sangam 2
Without doubt the best service of any Indian restaurant I have ever been in. Food is of highest quality, decor very sophisticated & relaxing.
Sangam 2
Continuing the traditions of the Sangam, the food was graet (particularly the Karahi.Biggest change is the interior of the place, very posh when compared to Rusholme, how long it looks so nice and new depends as the place is likely to get swamped post-pub.
