Went there for a meal very disappointed with the way customers are approached, it was " find a table, pick your fish ( when you can fight your way through a large crowd already looking) pick your side, sauce etc. It never used to be like this what's happened to normal menu ordering? Never go there again which is a complete shame as last time we went there ,about a year ago it was completely different (handed a menu, asked what drink you would like then food order taken) why does everything have to change?

My friends and I on holiday in St.Ives called at the Seafood restaurant for lunch. It was very tempting to go in. Interior and the menu drew us in. We were not disappointed. We had crab brecon which was delicious. The wine was also good without being too expensive. The staff were, great, friendly and helpful

Having eaten here many times before, and having been proposed to here, we were very disappointed with the measly portion of the seafood medley to 'share', and the extortionate price that accompanied it. Half a piece of fish, half a bowl of chips - can't they stretch to 2 bowls or a piece of fish each?? Wanting to contact them by email, there is no opportunity to do so, unless you want to apply for a job. Just walking along the seafront, there are many good restaurants where you could get 4 decent sized meals for the same price! The food is delicious, but if you want any greenery on your plate, it's an additional cost - come on seafood cafe! Don't be tight!

went there last week for lunch, after walking the streets of st Ives many times looking for a decent place to eat at a reasonable price.
we were not disappointed when we were served two really fresh mackerel grilled and served on a bed of salad leaves with beetroot and walnut relish with bread, and the cost was only about £7 per person
would definitely go back again and we are looking forward to visiting again next year, maybe even every lunchtime, as we only come across this gem on our last day in Cornwall.
Thanks to all the staff for putting our faith back into eating out after some lousy culinary experiences whilst in Cornwall

This St. Ives restaurant is very popular, even out of season. Having tried it for the first time, I now know why. Probably the best soups I have ever had (I tried my wife's also), a splendid locally supplied fillet steak and perfectly presented monkfish. Staff were particularly friendly and the whole experience was one I want to repeat.

The concept is refreshing, choose your meat or fish from the display and match with a sauce and accompliment of your choice. The style of cooking is contemporary, with a degree of attention to detail, portions large and staff very well trained. The atmosphere is very warm and relaxed in the evening. You cannot really go wrong here.

A great place to dine with friends, as a couple or to entertain clients. The interior is a blend of city sophistication, with the informality associated with ' Cornish seaside holiday chic'. As you enter, you are cleverly presented with a fish counter, reminiscent of a local market place, ice temptingly stacked with fine looking fresh fish. Customers are invited to choose their fish (or meat), along with a sauce and choice of potatoes. Veg or salad need to be selected as side orders. A simple wine list complements the menu.
