We booked in Saturday 31 August drinks where a bit slow on a two of occasions had to remind staff starters came they were to fantastic 10/10, main meals came everything bar the two chicken Korma's were fantastic the Korma sauce was the worse we tried on a scale from 1 to 10 it would be a have be a 4, I would like to end this by saying before I choose shantii I read the reviews which I thank you for because they where very correct food apart from Korma sauce everything else was fantastic 10/10, the staff where a bit slow from time to time I can live with that, 90% of the staff where very good the one we didn't like was very arrogant through out our time in the restaurant our final straw with him was we left a £10 cash tip after paying with card machine bill was £153.00 we watch him check none of the other staff where watching then put it in his pocket horrible skinny man with a long beard he didn't deserve that tip a bad apple if he can do that he will be sealing all the time off people he doesn't care it has put us off calling again.

I wanted to try the online ordering service, but unfortunately it neglects vegetarians/vegans. There are suitable options in the 'vegetarian' drop-down menu...although not that much choice... but if you want one of the more traditional meals such as a Bhuna or Rogan Josh sauce, there is no vegetarian option...only meat in the drop down menu. Very disappointing. Had to go elsewhere.

Without doubt the best Indian food I have ever had. Service is fantastic, Ali is so welcoming and friendly. The buffet on a Sunday is superb, unbelievable selection, always piping hot with a great range of choice. The restaurant is modern and immaculate throughout, making it, by far, my favourite place to eat in Formby.

Ali and his team continue to provide the best Indian food with a difference. Always friendly and great service. The Shantii is highly recommended!

Still at the top of its game - Shantii in Formby. Defo the best Indian on Merseyside

Love Shantii, Food is great, Ali an staff are certainly friendly and give good advice, we regularly eat there an cant wait for our Christmas meal there, went last Christmas an was so impressed we booked again for this year.
We believe last New Year was great with a singer, so have also booked for that. Looking forward to a festive Christmas period with all at Shantii. Thanks Ali , Best Wishes Norma, Vin, Steph an Ladies xx

purchased a takeawy at this restaurant, not only extortionately priced (over £30 for 3 mains, 2 rice, some nan and chapattis) but the lam jalfrezi was too hot to eat and a waste of money. when i returned the dish the manager (a small annoying man) said that i should have returned it earlier - he took no account of the fact that i had to return at my own expense and in my own time with food that was inedible - hes lucky i didn't refer him to trading standards!!! Avoid this place if you can - its over priced and the service is abysmal

The staff are great and so is the food. The managers name is Ali, is really annoying and does not show respect to his fellow workers. The layout of the place is really great and easy access to get in by.

The food is fantastic, I will certainly give it that. I was very disappointed with the service though as there were only 2 tables occupied and it took them 10 minutes to offer drinks and 50 minutes to serve the starter alone. I would recommend it, but only if they speed up the service. I will try again in the future but perhaps stick to their take away for now, which seemed busy. Could have just been a one off as staff were still very polite too. Thanks

I have eaten in The Shanti several times and i am always extremely satisfied with the food and service.
The staff are very pleasant and inviting.
I would definitely say it is the best Indian iv ever been to.
Definitely recommend!
