One of the worst curry houses i have ever been!! and I have been a lot, and the Service and food was just awful!!!! the waiters made you feel like scum and couldn't wait to rush you out, Sticky tables that were not helped by lack of table cloths, no candle lighting, loud loud music that just made u want to leave straight away, bland food, rude staff that walk up and down like prison guards scowling at you, unhelpful and unfriendly trying to snatch you plate even before you have finished! felt like a curry McDonald`s!!! all in all awful and I would never ever go again! If you want a nice relaxed, romantic restaurant with nice food that does not make ill don't go here stay away. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

I have been going to Rusholme for many years but only recently discovered the delights of Shere Khan. I would recommend this restaurant to any serious curry gourmet as it serves authentic, tasty food - although the haleem is for aficionados only! And the price is very reasonable for food. It was also very convenient for a little stroll across the road for dessert at the Sweet Mart.

Thankyou all for a very nice dining experience. We accompanied the legendary 'Indian of the Group' former Mothers Of Invention drummer Jimmy Carl Black when he enjoyed one of your superb curries on Sunday May 18th. 2008. We all had a great time and the food was top notch as usual. Thanks again, we'll see you soon.

We visited the Shere Kahn on Sunday 18th May 2008.
We had excellent curries served by friendly staff.
But to add to our enjoyment we spotted a certain American musician in the restaurant......none other than Jimmy Carl Black from the Frank Zappa band "The Mothers of Invention". Obviously the reputation of this fine restaurant has spread beyond Manchester.

This is the best Indian restaurant on the Curry Mile. The food is top-quality, the service is responsive and respectful, and the atmosphere is buzzing on the weekends.
