Where to start. From the moment you enter the ship & castle you are made to feel welcome. The food is outstanding and of very good quality, there are a number of specials listed on boards around the restaurant area. I was going to be brave and try a man mountain of meat being there 32oz mixed grill but was glad i only had the 16oz one as that nearly beat me superb value for money also they sell decent pints at decent prices. This is a pub i would recommend to all ages

I have eaten here a number of times and the food is excellent. Home cooked, very reasonable price and delightful friendly and family service. The restaurant decor has bee improved over the past two years. The landlord of the pub keeps a good pint. All to be recommended.
