Signor Sassi has been a Knightsbridge fixture for 30 years and is hugely popular with the glitterati, regularly attracting high-profile politicians, businessmen and sports personalities. There's a real buzzy atmosphere that's unlike anywhere else. It's had a long-tern affiliation with Rome's famous Alfredo Restaurant and some of the menu highlights here include their Spaghetti lobster, Baked crab and avocado and Carpaccio of beef. The wine list is 80% Italian and has a choice of seven champagnes. There is also a private function room that can accommodate up to 35 diners.
Last week I had a romantic dinner with my wife. The overall experience was fantastic. The food was delicious and well presented; the atmosphere was lively and the service was good. We were seen to straight away and the waiting time between the dishes was short. It was not the first time we go and it still is a safe bet.

What a great place!! I have heard so many great reviews about Signor Sassi, but have never been in Knightsbridge long enough to be able to sample the exquisite food on offer. I wish I had found the time sooner now! The place was just magical! The restaurant looks beautiful, and is full of happy faces, which is so nice nowadays. The staff were just a pleasure - they were authentic Italian in their banter, and I loved hearing Donato singing! The food was something special - I highly recommend you have a starter and a main, as eating just one item from the menu would be a shame. Definitely a delightful gem in Knightsbridge - but make sure you book though - it got very busy indeed!

My wife and myself live only a couple of minutes from Signor Sassi. This is our local Italian and we just love it. The food is always excellent and Mario the owner and all his staff always give us superb service. We have been eating at Signor Sassi for over 20 years and have never had a bad meal. Often we take friends to eat there and many now eat there regularly. A must if you are in the area you will not be disappointed. Jill and Lawrence Collins
