About Spice Valley

Housed in a characterful former church building in Horwich, Spice Valley is a modern and contemporary Indian restaurant that can cater for 150 diners over two floors. The main dining area is at ground level and you can watch the chefs at work in the glass-enclosed open kitchen. Upstairs, there’s a new bar area and private dining facilities and even if you just fancy a drink you are welcome to drop in. Spice Valley offers an Indian fine dining experience with an exciting range of dishes put together by Head Chef Mahesh Gurung, who has worked in senior kitchen position across India and the UK. In addition to the traditional classics the menu offers a wide range of dishes including starters such as the Spice Valley Sea Bass and mains like Lamb Shank Khadamasala. There are Early Bird and Sunday Brunch offers and Spice Valley is also open for lunch from Tuesday to Friday, with their Tiffin Box also available to go. Takeaway prices are 20% off the main menu and there is delivery too within a five-mile radius. Spice Valley is well-equipped to cater for all kinds of event including weddings, birthdays and private functions with the food and set-up tailored to your requirements and function space for up to 90 guests.

I visited Spice Valley on a ladies lunchtime charity event, they went out of their way to provide exciting alcohol and non alcoholic cocktails as welcome drinks. The usual loud chatter of our gang was silenced as we were served a selection on each table of various dishes. I confess I do not know what they all were but they were all delicious. I have an Indian friend and have experience true Indian food and Spice Valley is keeping an authentic approach. Would certainly go again.

I visited Spice Valley last Saturday. Service was OK and didn't live up to very friendly greeting from the proprietor, but, that didn't matter as the food was absolutely incredible. I think it was the chakori dishes and garlic naans that were a big hit. Favourite moment was the waiter announcing his readiness for taking our orders by arriving and saying "I'm here." Love it.

I live in York and visited the Spice Valley in Horwich whilst visiting family. The service, food and atmosphere were all fantastic. I had a vegetable bhuna with rice as well as poppadoms and a pickle tray. The service was efficient but non-intrusive. The food was fantastic, one of the best curries I have had, extremely tasty and well presented. The manageress ensured that we were happy and it was lovely to have such a cosy feel to our evening meal out. Would recommend Spice Valley completely and am looking forward to going again next time I visit Horwich. Thank you to all the staff - you made my very stressful Friday end in a great way!

Attended spicy valley horwich on a leaving do. there was13 in our group, despite this the food was very good and the service was spot on. I would recommend this eating place to anyone who loves a very good Indian.

Thanking spice valley for a lovely meal at the Horwich branch. The service has improved in the branch. The food here has been always great and inclusion of a few staff members from the Bolton branch cant remember the lads name but is one of the old lads,has added much quality to the meal than before. Keep up the good work at Spice Valley

went for my sons 21st a group of 38 service was atrocious went at 7pm still not had cake at 11pm waited over an hour for drinks some even went out to the bowling green pub across the road for a drink they had waited so long ruined what should have been a special night heard lots of people complain regarding service if you want to have an enjoyable night avoid this place.
