table booked for 13 people to celebrate a double birthday celebration. table was booked for 8.30 arrived at 8.20pm to find the table being utilised. we were advised by the manager that it would be a 10 - 15 minute wait. i pointed out that it would be longer than that as the people had only just started their main meals. because there was a large group of us and there was nowhere to wait other than outside i said we would go and have a quick drink somewhere. the manager said he would call my mobile within 10 - 15 mins. Half an hour later i called him he said again 10 - 15 minute wait. we decided to go down there. We eventually got on the table roughly 9:40 poppadoms were just put on the table without being asked did we want them or advised that there was a charge for them.
my main meal arrived at 10:20. we had a birthday cake to cut and asked the waiters if they could cut it and bring it out we were just given napkins when we asked for plates we were told the kitchen was closed. (like it was our fault)!!!!!!. we were not offered the desert menu neither were we offered coffee (i suppose because of the time). I pointed this out to the manager on our way out of the restaurant , he then said can i get you a coffee (should that not have happened when we were seated) and not offered on the back of me pointing this out. To many restaurants in solihull are taking custom for granted Let me point out EVERY RESTARAUNT HAS ITS DAY AND WORD GETS AROUND. Stop being so complacent. Very disappointed. but will say the meal was lovely compliments to the chef and BOOOHHHHHH to the manager very poor management.

Had a good meal.. food was tasty, and in decent sized portions. The byo element was a nice touch, though the alcohol there wasn't too expensive either. Will definitely be returning in the very near future!

I ate here with my 18 members of my family on 20.12.08. I found the service to be terrible, we were rushed into ordering and almost made to order poppadoms, rices and naans, when not everyone wanted them. There were no napkins at the table and no toilet paper in the toilets!!
When the food arrived, most of the dishes were incorrect. I ordered a mixed Tawa. The waiter brought out a chicken tawa but said that someone had ordered it and mine was on the way. No one in our party had ordered a chicken tawa and i am sure the waiter took in back to the kitchen and added lamd and prawns to it. My dish was disgusting and most people left their meal.
I was disappointed as i reg have take aways from here and do not have a problem. I dont think that they can cater for big parties.
Don't know if it is coincidence but 4 out of the 18 had a bad tummy after. I would recommend the Jilabi up the road, better service all round and good food.

The food, when it finally arrived, was fabulous. The service was beyond poor; slow and inattentive. We had to ask if we could order drinks, waited best part of an hour between starter and main course, and even after requesting our bill we waited so long we took it upon ourselves to go to the bar and pay. There were staffing issues tonight, but even so, a proper apology, complimentary drink or some other gesture would have gone a long way.
Spicewoods
we go there me and the girls from work as often as possible. we find it extremely good value for money and by taking your own wine even better value.
