We have been to Stefanos twice, January '08 and '09 both on Saturday evenings, to celebrate a friend's birthday. Both times, the food and service were excellent. In Jan '08, surprised to see lentils on the menu, I ordered this intriguing dish and to my pleasure it was one of the most delicious meals ever. I complimented the chef who, I was amused to see, was Chinese, not Italian. He said that sage was the magic ingredient.
On this second occasion, we arrived a little later at around 9pm and the restaurant was fairly empty. Fortunately, we were in a group so that didn't matter but for a couple, there would have been a lack of atmosphere.
I enjoyed seabass which was cooked just right.
For an annual special treat with good friends, I don't mind paying £37.00 per head (starter, main course and wine) but normally that would be too expensive for me.
