Strada in Princesshay is excellent, I visit at least twice a week, food excellent and the staff cannot do enough for me. I am actually Visiually Impaired and an OAP but don't look my age. Visited the restaurant one evening last week and again the food was excellent, they certainly work very hard indeed. Even with a party on singing Happy Birthday.

was eagerly awaiting my dinner at strada as it was a surprise for my girlfriends birthday.
looks wise fantastic and the ambience was just what we were after.
all our meals were full of flavour and were carefully presented. unfortunately i can't say too much for the service on this visit, as one of my friends ordered a martini rosso and was met by a blank expression. staff menu knowledge was not entirely there apart from desserts, we were comfort checked regularly which was comforting, i see potential and will more than likely return, better luck next time

Best thing to happen in Exeter for foodies for years. Coonsistent, quality food, at realistic prices and friendly atmosphere. Can't praise it enough and I am Ms Pickey when it comes to restaurants!

I have lived in Exeter for the last 10 years and this has to be without a doubt Exeter's finest restaurant. The service rivals some fine dining venues in the area. With great product knowledge and a friendly warm yet balanced approach it's clear the staff revel in working in such a fine establishment. I'm pleased to say it's one of the only Italian restaurants that actually has a true Italian as it's Head Chef which is evident in the food. From talking to the chef, i discovered the food is sourced solely from Italy and is delivered daily. This is a refreshing change from precooked, reheated rubbish commonly found in high street restaurants of the area. The atmosphere is well balanced and the overall impression is that of a funky retro, modern Italian restaurant. You must try it!

A busy Thursday evening, so a booking was an excellent idea. Staff were friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable striking just the right balance of familiarity and genuine support (none of the false American 'Have a nice day!) The ambience was excellent and, though busy, we were never overwhelmed or claustrophobic as there is an open and airy feel to the place. Service was swift without ever feeling rushed or under pressure. The menu is varied and provides plenty of choice for most people. Our starters and main courses (Sea Bass & Rib Eye Steak) were excellent and the desserts were high quality and a suitable finale. I was more than happy with the experience and wholeheartedly recommend Strada, particularly if you receive the same superior service that we experienced!

Really really enjoyed our meal here. The menu is better than the average Italian as there is also steaks and fish dishes as well as the pizza and pasta and risottos. Lovely waiter, the place was full on a Tuesday night so I would book if you want a table at the weekend. Bill was reasonable.
