Midland couple - A special 'Mad Hatters' treat arranged by my wife as part of a day trip to see National portrait exhibitions. What can I say but excellent, the decor, the situation, the ambiance and the food was delicious.
The find such a breathtaking hotel so close to Regent Street with such reasonable (for London) prices. Definitely will be returning and maybe push the boat out and take a room as well, certainly these prices match other 'boutique' hotels I've researched around the Midlands.
I do agree with another reviewer about the 'pushy' waiters, I know they probably earn commission on the drinks but come on an automatic 25% service on the bill was another £25, I'd expected more than someone pouring my bottled water for me.
Finally. I did laugh when I asked for a piece of cheesecake to be wrapped so we could take it home and was required to sign a 'disclaimer' from the kitchen? Only in London.........

Great new restaurant at Sanderson. Have been a fan of the Long Bar for a while, tried this last Friday and was fantastic. Really fresh Malaysian food, we had scallop skewers, green papaya salad, curried crab laksa and suckling pig. All food was great and service refreshingly friendly. Great atmosphere, good if you like a 'buzzy' cool place.
