Situated midway between Kendal and Bowness on the B5284, the Sun Inn at Crook traces its history back to 1710. A recent refurbishment has kept the inn's traditional beams, stone flooring and open fires and the Sun has a growing reputation for offering tasty home-cooked food. It's open for lunch and dinner every day and as well as the a la carte menu, there are sandwiches, light lunches and bar snacks available as well as different dining offers every day of the week and a Sunday Roast served all day Sunday. Windermere-born Head Chef Ryan Clement sources as many ingredients as possible locally and has a passion for cooking quality pub food at competitive prices. Customers can eat in the main dining room, the bar or on the new outside patio. The Sun also has a live music night on the last Friday of every month.
