Located near the Victorian Bangor Pier, this traditional pub offers great value for money, as well as well kept real ales.
Known locally for real ale, this pub has won numerous CAMRA awards over the last few years. The interior is pleasant, with various paraphernalia that give it that independent British pub vibe.
The food is really cheap, and the quality is perhaps a little more than you would expect. A particular favourite of mine is the Mixed Grill, which at sub £6 is the best value for money one I have had. This food is not for the delicate, expect large portion size and simple flavours. Service with a smile, and a gathering of locals, patrons, and students.
