I used to love Tea House but after this weekend will never be going there again. We arrived to a half empty restaurant, ordered and then waited for our starter. After fifteen minutes we began to wonder and looked over at the waiter (who was doing nothing), after twenty minutes we waved him over and he went to check on our order. After twenty five minutes he came back, laughing. He explained that he had forgotten to pass our order through - no apology. He did not even tell us it would be a further fifteen minutes until we asked. We didn't stay.

I regularly eat at the Tea House Cafe! The food is always of very high quality, you can taste how fresh and well cooked the ingredients are, and the portions are very good. Its perfect for lunch or dinner. Try the speciality teas! Its a hidden gem.

I have ate at the Tea House on a number of occasions and have now decided to write this review based on past experiences, The restaurant is very easy to miss on Bold Street so if you are going then keep an eye out for it, when your inside the decoration is very plain and cafe like, but don’t let this put you off, the menus used to be very colorful with lots of pictures but they have now changed this with just dish descriptors, not a wise move as the old menus were much friendlier, the food choices are lengthy and the soups alone are a meal in themselves, so do not order a soup and a main course, because its just too much food to eat, the main course choices are lengthy and i have tried many of the dishes, all come highly recommended, you can have most main courses with plain boiled rice, fried rice or a choice of noodles, the portion sizes are huge and could easily feed 2 people comfortably. Overall i would rate this small venue very highly as you get masses of food for a very reasonable price. Recommended for quick lunches and after a busy shopping trip, not before shopping though as you cant move when you have eaten.

I've only recently discovered this little gem and I have to say it serves the best Chinese food I have ever tasted, and I have tasted a lot!
Tea House Cafe
Nice place to go. Genuine chinese cuisine.
Tea House Cafe
Have dined here on more than one occasion and have enjoyed it very much. In fact I would have to say that the food is among the best Chinese on Merseyside. The chicken wings are amazing!
