Teppanyaki in Manchester’s Chinatown first brought teppanyaki to the northwest in 1987. Literally ‘grilling on an iron plate’, diners sit at a large table surrounding the cooking surface where the chef prepares fresh meat, seafood and vegetables before your eyes, bringing a real sense of theatre to the dining experience. Only top-quality produce is used with salmon from Loch Duart, beef from The Borders hung for 28 days to impart maximum flavour and chicken fresh from Cumbria. The menu also offers sushi and sashimi as well as tempura and yakitori along with a good selection of wines, beers and sake to complement the food. Teppanyaki is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and there are some great-value lunch and early evening offers available.
