We eat at Teza at least once a month as the food is divine. I had never fancied eating Indian food until we went here - everything tastes so fresh and you can identify all the different spices. The decor of the restaurant is very modern and bright, the staff are all brilliant and the cocktails are to die for. You won't find the usual suspect dishes here, the dishes are more regional indian dishes - check out the menu on their website

My first experience of real Indian cuisine...and a fantastic one at that. Right from the start the staff jumped out at me as very friendly , very helpful and knew their stuff. Not the usual Indian restaurant here ...gone was the typical wallpapers and background music and the usual plate warmers on the tables. This is a city centre modern , very trendy eatery buzzing with excitement and top class food. I? always wanted to try authentic Indian cuisine in a top restaurant but never did get the chance. I?e eaten in the U.K`s top restaurants and this is definitely the best Indian meal I have ever eaten and served by the friendliest staff in Carlisle...very highly recommended. I started my dinner with - Salmon Kali Mirch £4.95 Farm raised salmon marinated in English mustard, honey, cream, cheese & toasted black pepper, pot roasted For my main course Vindaloo Beef £15.95 Tenderloin fillet steak of Lakeland beef marinated in Vindaloo spices cooked to perfection (don? worry...this isn? the usual, typical "blow the mind" curry) This is a very carefully blended mixture of authentic spices...quite hot but all the flavours came through. For dessert the choice wasn? as great as the other courses , I would have liked to see a sweet semolina or a cold rice with spiced fruits and maybe a few others regional specialities ..but...we couldn? grumble after such a fine meal and so we went for a typical Indian pudding...Hot Gulab Jamun with Vanilla Ice-Cream at £3.95 But. also as a treat we got to try a few freebies and tasters from their desert selection - mango and ginger creme brulee , chocolate tart , and warm carrot pudding. All in all , we will be returning...very soon...fantastic food , fantastic staff , fantastic cocktails....a very very enjoyable experience which I urge the readers to try out.
