That Secret Ingredient was founded in 2019 by pastry chef Morgan Mole. His clients have included clothing brands, celebrity hair stylists and some of the cast members of The Real Housewives of Cheshire and in mid-2023 he opened his own bakery and academy in Leigh. The shop offers a wide range of bespoke bakery services, workshops and party packages and their ethos is to use the best quality ingredients that they can find to create something special and bespoke for their customers. You can also drop by Thursday to Sunday for food or drink (walk-in only) or book online for Afternoon Tea or Friday Night Cheese & Wine.

Went for afternoon tea with a voucher we had been given from our Grandaughter for Christmas. Really enjoyed it. The staff were lovely & helpful. The food was excellent! Will definitely be going back.

We had two pre-Christmas treats at TSI. Afternoon Tea was just delightful. Everything was super fresh, the scones definitely had ‘a secret ingredient’ and the cakes looked so professional and downright delicious. The mini soup and crouton was a lovely addition. A note must be made that TSI serves the best coffee in town. The Cheese & Wine Evening excelled! What a board. A lovely ambiance and chilled atmosphere to just savour the array of cheeses and meats. Service is always exceptional. Morgan and staff are so friendly and attentive and the premises are always spotlessly clean. I’m well on the way to being a ‘regular’ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Probably one of the best afternoon teas we have ever had. Everything was delicious and plenty to eat and drink. I can not wait to go again, I do hope this is not a special Christmas thing.

Had afternoon tea with my sister and mum. A beautiful and clean cafe. The food was excellent and plentiful. We enjoyed the fact that there was soup as well as sandwiches. The cakes are delicious. The waitress was very attentive. Would highly recommend.

I had the festive afternoon tea, which was great value for money. Great sandwich choice, warm scones, warm soup, amazing cakes, and a couple of cappuccinos. This shop is a lovely addition to Leigh, everybody should call in for a drink and a cake, there's a lovely selection to choose from. I will definitely be returning.
