The 4 Lanterns is a traditional Greek restaurant named after a small bridge in Limassol in Cyprus -- 'Ta Tessera Phanaria' (the four lanterns). It's close to the Post Office Tower and Regents Park and has been family run since 1970. The restaurant seats 26 and there is a downstairs area with dance floor which is available for parties of up to 60 people (the plate smashing and belly dancing can be organised). Try the special mezedes -- a variety of Greek hors d'oeuvres followed by fish and meat specialities -- washed down with a good choice of Greek and Cypriot wines and beers. Host Peter is always on hand to offer advice.
We had lovely meal at The 4 Lanterns last week with some friends. The food was excellent, we had meze which was so much food. The atmosphere was friendly, with nice waitress bringing food all the time. We really enjoyed it and highly recommend it.
