It's situated on Wharf Hill, off Chesil Street, opposite the Michelin-starred Black Rat Restaurant and close to the Black Bottle, both of which are under the same ownership. Traditional pub food is served here from Tuesday evening through to Sunday lunch with a daily choice of sandwiches, homemade soup and a choice of three or four hot dishes whilst in Sunday roast is served in winter with lighter options during the summer months. There are five local real ales on tap and a small selection of French wines. When the weather permits, there is a sheltered garden with heaters and live music features on occasional Mondays.
