Have been visiting Marchwood each year for the last 10 years. We used to visit the Bold Forester for the kiddies garden, but as the kiddies grew up we frequented the eating area. It was quite bad, so avoided it like the plague UNTIL THIS SUMMER. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Friendly and welcoming. Good value meals. We initially popped in for a pint after a bike ride and after a look around and chat to the owner returned the following day - a group of 8 - and thoroughly enjoyed the carvery. We enjoyed it so much that my husband and I returned a couple of days later for late lunch (about 2.30pm) when we enjoyed a Mixed Grill and Wexford Steak.
