I recently dined at The boot room with some friends over from Canada. Having done the LFC tour we soon found our selves sitting in a booth struggling to choose from the delicious menu. A member of staff (Kevin?) asked what we'd like to drink. When i told him i was driving he asked what drinks i usually like and then made me a non alcoholic cocktail made from ginger ale, lime cordial and angisturas bitters, it was gorgeous, we named it Kirsty's Corner. He then informed us that if we ordered quickly we could eat from the early menu. I had broccoli and blue cheese soup served with home made crisp and a steak baguette. it was absolutely beautiful, my thinly sliced beef was pink inside with the sweetest caramelised onions and the soup was thick and very flavoursome. My friend ordered fish and chips which came out on a big square plate with a individual basket of chips. we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I was very impressed with the modern but still relaxed decor and friendly and professional staff. I was equally impressed with the modest price tag and would recommend The boot room to everyone. We had such a lovely time there. I felt proud of our city and elated that id accidentally chosen this gem to eat in!
