Having visited "The Davenport Arms' last Monday (5th May 2008) we can only say that from the minute we entered their doors we were impressed by the friendliness and willingness of all staff. Furthermore, it did not stop there.... the quality of food and quantity served (and at favourable prices) in the restaurant was exceptional... with staff checking as to our satisfaction and further requirements as necessary. We regularly eat here and regard it as the standard against which we judge other pub restaurants,and it is unusual to find any to equal it.We are lucky in having it as our 'local'. A&BK

The Davenport arms is an amazing restaurant it has the highest quality of food at lowish prices the waitress' are very helpful but no over helpful the time we waited for our food was not long and also the food is made fresh and has a very large menu and has different eating areas
