The Derg Arms is a bar and restaurant with accommodation, ideally positioned on the Tyrone and Donegal border in Castlederg. Dating back to the 1920s, The Derg has established itself as a popular stop-off with people travelling between the north and south of Ireland. A bar and lounge area offers a fully stocked bar, cocktails and a snacks menu, live sports on large screen, regular Friday night discos and live bands, a games area with pool and darts and a comfortable snug for a quieter stay. The Stables restaurant caters for up to 40 diners for lunch and a la carte dinner and their famous five-course Sunday lunch. Expect homemade traditional British food from locally sourced produce. Breakfasts are served daily and include the ‘Belly Buster Ulster Fry-Up' and at lunch and dinner a daily changing fish dish, sandwiches, curry of the day, one-pot warmers like lasagne, burgers, steaks and homemade pies. All the desserts are homemade and may include favourites like lemon meringue, apple tart, Pavlova and cheesecakes. The accommodation consists of six comfortable en suite rooms with full facilities, luxurious private lounge, landscaped gardens and beer garden.
