My friend and I recently had lunch at the Blue Tomato in Port Isaac and were totally disappointed with it. To start with the tonic in our G&Ts was flat, then we had to put up with three children screaming and running through the restaurant while we were trying to talk and enjoy our meals. They even knocked over one of the chairs at our table. The waitress seemed to be oblivious to this disturbance and that how that would deter prospective customers who were perusing restaurants for lunch at that time. Indeed we will never frequent this restaurant again either. In addition to that the food was overpriced and our G&Ts cost £4.50 for a flat G&T each.

We had our wedding reception at the edge in May 2007. Everyone will say that there wedding was perfect but ours really was! That is very much thanks to Penny (the manager) Ben (the Chef) and the rest of the team.
We booked the restaurant on the basis of the reviews we had seen on the internet. We are not locals and so it was very much hit and miss how it would go.
23 very happy and contented wedding guests left the edge after our reception. There wasn't a mumble or grumble to be heard. the food and service were excellent.
If the staff know that you are celebrating they will really pull out the stops.
A special place for our special day - we will certainly be back

I went on a girl's night out and had a fabulous time. The staff were really brilliant, attentive, knowledgeable about the food and friendly. Every single thing was delicious from the home made bread, steak, veggie and fish mains to the 'to die for' puddings. I can't wait to go again - what a great restaurant.

8 of us went to celebrate a birthday, the restaurant were very good they decorated our table and did a couple of other touches, we had a superb meal, every one enjoyed it, all the dishes ordered were excellent, the wine list was good and the staff v nice indeed. We live in St Ives so its difficult for us to eat here without having to stay somewhere overnight. If this was nearer to us we would be regulars. Please if you are anywhere near Port Isaac get in here and have a meal you will not regret it.
Edge Bar and Restaurant, The
My wife and I had lunch on one day and dinner the following day.
On both occasions the food was absolutely superb, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented.
The panoramic views added to the wonderful atmosphere. The best we have found in North Cornwall without a doubt.

Edge Bar and Restaurant, The
Lovely find, set above the cliffs in this pretty fishing village. A very welcome, new style bar and restaurant, that has a very attractive menu. I had the home made battered haddock with good chips and tartare sauce, a large glass of white wine, both were excellent. The atmosphere was warming and relaxed as everyone gazed out of the windows at the view.
