Visited Golden Dragon last night (28/10/10) as first time diners. Strange entrance to the restaurant through a bar area (with a karaoke room which happily was unoccupied) and upstairs. First impressions were spacious and cold.... a bit too cold on an October evening in Yorkshire.
Staff were friendly and helpful, made ammendments to a starter for me to make it vegetarian.... drinks were reasonable at £2.60 for a pint of carling (just as an example - not a recommendation) and £1.30 for a Diet Coke (which admittedly was a bit flat).
Food was piping hot, really well cooked and very tasty. Lovely crunchy vegetables, king prawns cooked well and good sauces. Dare I say it.... even the chips were nice (sorry).
We paid about £18 each and it was about right for the area and food.... I'll definitely go back there, but take an extra jumper!!
