Without a doubt, one of THE worst experiences i have had in any restaurant in Harrogate. After arriving to our BOOKED reservation, we were told that there would be a delay in seating us, which was OK at first as the restaurant seemed very busy. There appeared to only be one girl on the floor desperately trying to cope with an understaffed restaurant. After waiting 35 minutes for our food, it was explained to us by the floor girl who informed us she was the restaurant manager that there was still a delay, but our food was "on it's way". When our food finally arrived... i would rather have gone to the chippy. Why was this restaurant so poorly staffed?????? Why does it take ANY restaurant 50.. yes 50 minutes.. to get 4 starters out???? We felt sorry for the girl trying to run the floor and asked for the General Manager of the restaurant... talk about the final straw! On meeting "the general manager of the hotel" (said with UNBELIEVABLE disdain for us, we were told that the kitchen "couldn't cope". who admits that?????????? We left after our starters, NEVER to return.
