Went for tea last night nice staff especially guy taking orders, food was lovely well cooked and presented. Myself and partner eat out in a lot of places and I have to say this was on the best meals we have had recently 10 out of 10 to chief :) Will definitely be going back

Just had a family meal at the Horseshoe to wish my son farewell before he goes to university in Spain .
Absolutely brilliant food , great service, massive portions ...really friendly service , we will all be definitely going back again very soon.
I would really recommend this place to family and friends as a lovely place to get a nice meal with a great atmosphere and good quality food and great value for money.

Been to the Horseshoe for tea tonight and have to say was the best meal I've had for ages . Slow cooked beef, creamy mash and veg. Was cooked to perfection. For dessert creme brulee. The meal and service was excellent, will definitely be going again soon.

We have lived in the village for over 20 years. We have just had the most appalling meal ever. We were regular customers to the Horseshoe, but since it's been taken over omg. Staff ok, but my husband ordered the beef, it was 95% FAT. He doesn't like complaining, but he did, every mouthful was FAT. I wouldn't bring it home for my dog. I ordered. Suet pudding, asked was it like the one in the chippys "yes". Oh my husband also ordered chips NOT mash, what did it come with MASH. NO ONE came to apolologise. H toddled off to complain. All we paid for was the starter and wine. We didn't want that - we weren't after free meal. JUST A DECENT ONE. We WILL NOT be returning, and we are going to tell as many of our friends - AVOID this place.

Just been down there tonight booked a table for 7.15 left at 8 still not sat down. No one bothered to keep us informed, so now sat down in an Italian enjoying my food Used to go to the Horseshoe regularly and never had this problem before. I wouldn't mind you were not that busy to forget us.

Hey everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. My name's Shane and I'm one of the new owners at The Horseshoe. I can see their is a mixed bag of reviews on here but I just wanted to let you all know that we're taking the pub through a makeover. There's a new fresh-food menu, with country pub classics, homemade chips cooked in beef dripping! and a new 'Tri-Menu' that changes every month. Push chairs are most definitely allowed! and everyone is welcome. We are introducing a new waiter service so you can experience our great customer service and can only hope that those of you who visited the horseshoe previously will give us a try as Im confident you will be pretty impressed with us! Our new website is up and running and we re-open on the 3rd December. We look forward to seeing you all soon, and we wish you a Very Happy Christmas.

Friendly staff, lovely food and the smaller meals are perfect for smaller appetites. Gorgeous fish in light batter. Mari

I don't want to spend too much time in this review as I've just wasted time and money in this awful establishment. The bar staff are very rude. I paid upfront,£8.35 for the worst curry ive ever had. Gloopy salty sauce and chicken thigh meat. For that price I expected breast. The owner is rude, unfriendly and inflexible. A group of four hungry punters arrived at 2.02pm to be told "we stop serving at two the chef has started cleaning down." I can't believe they stayed to order a drink. I will NEVER enter this place again.
