About The Lawns Restaurant at Thornton Hall
The Lawns is a fine dining restaurant at Thornton Hall. The 62-bedroom hotel and spa is set in the picture-perfect village of Thornton Hough, near Heswall on the Wirral and just 20 minutes from both Chester and Liverpool. The dining room is elegantly decorated in a traditional style, with oak panelling, solid wood tables and a beautiful hand tooled leather ceiling. There are several menus to choose from including daily lunch and dinner, A la Carte, 5 course and 7 course Tasting, are available at lunch and dinner. The tasting menu is the Executive Chef's signature menu while the gourmet menu offers six courses at dinner and a lighter five during lunch.
The a la carte menu is available throughout the week or if you prefer a more relaxed approach, try the Lawns lounge menu available between 11am until 11pm every day. Choose from dishes such as Hebridean mutton with broad beans, English asparagus and cockles or Anglesey seabass accompanied with salt-baked swede and cucumber sauce. The hotel's beautiful oak room along with the Lawns restaurant can be hired for private parties with a personalised menu and the luxury four-star hotel also boasts state-of-the-art conferencing facilities along with one of the best spas in the northwest. For more informal dining, the newly opened brasserie offers a relaxed atmosphere. During the day there are light bites and sandwiches while the evening changes to a tapas menu offering charcuterie, vegetarian options, grill choices alongside traditional Spanish favourites.
