About The Lily
The Lily is a new Ambleside bar with regular live music and a great selection of food and drink. The open-plan décor is a blend of the rustic and the contemporary with room for 80 diners and the bar is open every day from noon right through until midnight (1am weekends). Friday and Saturday nights see live acts from 9pm onwards, there's a quiz night on Wednesdays, an Open Mic night every other Sunday and comedy on the last Sunday of the month. The well-stocked bar has four local cask ales on offer plus 27 wines with 15 available by the glass and the menu ranges from soup and sandwiches through to a full three courses including steak, pasta and fish mains. The Lily is under the same ownership as Tarantella Italian restaurant next door and the guest house Ambleside Central is up above if you fancy staying over.
