Having eaten at The Priory Carvery for many years I, like most of my friends, were saddened to hear that that horrid Chef Mr Ramsay had been in and muddled around with things. HOWEVER, much to my pleasure I have since learned that THE CARVERY HAS RETURNED.
I have been back to the restaurant many times last year since the carvery has been reinstated and all I can say is LOVELY LOVELY LOVELY. The selection of meat available is wide and cooked perfectly. The vegetables fresh and hot and with a good selection of starters and desserts available you can't help but have a good meal.
WELL DONE to all there, lets hope, like me and my family have, your old trusted customers return back "to the fold"

Went to The Priory Grill (new name for The Priory Carvery) last Sunday for lunch and was amazed at the place. Such a stunning building for a great meal.
Carvery had the usual meats of beef, turkey or gammon on it with a selection of vegetables. Good value for money with starters and deserts available. I was too full from my starter and main course to have desert!
Had a look at the weekday Grill menu and will defo be going back for a steak. Tempting offer of a 2 or 3 set menu too..... 8/10

A party of seven booked in for Sunday lunch at what in the past was a busy establishment. Today it was almost empty, the carvery was like a school dinner, meat cheap and heated under lamps for who knows how long, vegetables consisted of peas, carrots, shredded parsnips and cabbage.
Worst of all the service was appalling. Every served course had to be ordered and requested.
