Been going here for a few years and thought it was an OK restaurant. However, went this weekend and found all the food luke warm and the spring rolls and prawn toast tasted like they had been re-heated from the previous day. When I went to the manageress and said that the food was not hot enough, she said that they "change the water in the heaters on a Friday night so the food isn't usually hot enough until 2pm on the Saturday" - they open at 11.30am and she showed no remorse for the fact that anyone eating between 11.30am and 2pm on a Saturday will be eating cold food. She offered me a bottle of water as an apology (no, I'm not joking!). The Real China needs to be very careful, there are many other restaurants around them. The food they served was extremely poor and I will not be going there again. Sorry Real China, but if you had only appeared remorseful for the awful food me and my family had eaten, I may have given you a second chance, but you didn't care - good luck, you'll need it!!

April 2013. Just visited with my family, food was disgusting, greasy, cold, the rice was under cooked and hard, the vermicelli was cold and under cooked, greasy prawn toast (if you can call it this, as it just tasted of bread soaked in oil. Yuk ) Meat for duck pancakes is pork !!!!! shredded in tiny dust like pieces. desserts were bad, cubes of jelly, ice cream (already in bowls) in freezer, marshmallows cut in half, mashed gateaux, tinned fruit !!!! the only fresh fruit on offer was grapes. Price was cheap, so I suppose you get what you pay for and it is true for this eating place Sorry doesn't deserve to be called a restaurant), we are appalled that food in this place is allowed to be served. We will not ever go here or recommend ever, should you decide to eat Chinese food please consider going to any other place but here. This view is of our opinion.

the real china was brilliant, tasty food, really nice staff and a beautiful place to eat with amazing water features to look at, it felt relaxing and welcoming and beats ocean world hands down, would highly recommend it to anyone looking for amazing food and really good prices, there lunch buffet all you can eat at only £5.95 is great value and its budget price is great considering how nice the food is, i went with my two children and found it spacious and also nice and quiet for the children

went here for lunch anticipating about £20 a head bill came to £18 for two The food was not five star but it was tasty and generally well presented. Would definitely go there again, only let down for me personally was dessert but others in our party really enjoyed it

Visited 28 Sept 2011.Nice surroundings, chickenless and very sweet more like a sugary drink - chicken & sweetcorn soup. Hot and sour soup smelled like a farm yard. Chips freezing cold . Fresh food coming out of the kitchen was cold as soon as it was put on display.Wait for it....Plates to eat the food off were chipped in many places. Definitely won't be going back

Me and my partner went for tea here on Monday and i was stunned at how awful the food was the service was terrible the waiter had no manners and could hardly speak English and the food was disgusting the soup was watery, hardly any meals out we didn't eat our £10.95 worth each and was kicking ourselves that we chose to eat there and felt sick when i had to pay £30.00. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone it is the worst Chinese we have ever had.
