About R Bar & Brasserie at The Richmond

The Richmond Hotel in Liverpool’s central Hatton Garden area is a Grade II-listed building dating back to 1906. It started life as the Liverpool Tramway HQ and today is a 152-room hotel with 52 apartment-style suites, extensive conference an event facilities and the R Bar & Brasserie which is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Menu choices range from salads, pasta, pizza and sandwiches to steaks, grills and mains such as Spiced hake fillet and Herb-crusted rump of lamb. Sunday Lunch offers a choice of three different roasts as well as fish and vegetarian choices and Afternoon Tea is an event in itself with cakes, sandwiches and scones as well as fizz and cocktails. The Richmond is also a great choice for special events of all kinds.

We went for afternoon tea with prosecco and it was really good. The food was very tasty and the staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Wow what can I say. From start to finish this has got to be one of the nicest meals I have ever had. The food was unbelievable and the girl that served us her people skills are absolutely fantastic what a lovely girl she was. Her attitude towards her job was brilliant. Will 100 percent be returning and will definitely recommend. Thank you so much for the most enjoyable food and service.

We booked the 3 course meal with a bottle of wine. The wine selection was limited to 2 bottles due to the Sauvignon Blanc and Chilean wine sold out-( not great for a Hotel) so we had to have the Pinot Grigio, which was not a wine we particularly like! The starters were cold, the steaks were over cooked and the dessert - Lemon Meringue was unfortunately not good at all, the lemon used was lemon curd and was really really sweet as the meringue was dusted with icing sugar... The staff were amazing, friendly and are a great asset to the Hotel/Restaurant.

Lovely afternoon tea , with a great selection of sandwiches and cakes. Plenty of tea and coffee top ups and friendly and attentive staff. Nice comfortable bar/dining area. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again.

Had a beautiful 3 course dinner with a bottle of wine at the R bar and Brasserie last night. Food and service were excellent. Staff were welcoming and attentive. I'd highly recommend eating here if you are in the area. Thank you to all the wonderful staff who made our evening a very pleasant one.
