The Royal Oak is a traditional country pub on the main street of the pretty North Yorkshire village of Staveley, between Knaresborough and Boroughbridge. Log fires in both the restaurant and bar promise a warm welcome as do Cath and her friendly team. Both two- and four-legged guests are welcome at The Royal Oak and there is also a large garden area to the rear with the outside seating available on a first-come, first served basis. But whether you’re eating inside or out you can enjoy fresh-cooked pub food with an international twist with main-course options ranging from Steak & Ale pie and Haddock & chips to Goan curry and Beef rendang. There are vegetarian options too and a kids menu as well as a selection of real ales and wines. The Royal Oak also has its own campsite and caravan park next door.
