the pub has recently changed hands again .
i visited yesterday evening after a break of a number of weeks and had my usual battered cod and chips. The fish was old and tired as was the accompanying salad.
Definitely not up to the usual v.g standard.I have found in the past. There is no email address to pass on my comments to the management? and I did not want to make a fuss on the night!!

The Royal is a very friendly, cosy pub, don't let the somewhat drab exterior deter. Enjoyed several wonderful Christmas Dinners here whilst visiting from Sweden. The Pub dining area is has been tastefully decorated and China collection would be the envy of many living rooms, this is balanced by the nautical theme of the bar area which looks out to sea. Great food, good portion sizes and suites even the fussy eater.
