brilliant place. i always drop in there after the trials of shopping and get some good home cooked food in me to cheer me up. really impressed by the homemade bread. am always glad to support individual enterprises over those beastly chains, i hope more people do too!

I AGREE WITH THE OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS - VERY GOOD AND FRIENDLY PLACE ESPECIALLY FOR THIS CORNER OF NEWCASTLE.

i have lived in Newcastle for three years and am really pleased to have found such a chilled out friendly place to eat and the food is delicious, not two ponsy just right! the whole place has a relaxed anything goes atmosphere which i really like.

Really good home from home food. Big range from excellent breakfasts to supper ( you can take your own bottle).
Very good sandwiches - real bread and no packaging. Food organic and very fresh. Nice people running the place and there's a nice atmosphere to the place.

I visited Newcastle for a long weekend and ate here three times - it was so good. I am a veggie and there were excellent veggie and vegan choices - the beetroot soup was first rate and the bean chilli delicious and spicy. One of my companions had an omelette which looked very good indeed. Additionally, there was plenty for the meateater - seemingly the sausages are outstanding and the lamb casserole very popular- all the meat is locally sourced and all food is organic.
