Met a group of old friends for lunch here after hearing good reports. Glad I listened to the reports. Food was very good, service very friendly (even with a food throwing brat on our table!) and a great selection of beer. Will return. Only sorry the tight Scotsman on our table was left to give a tip and just left £2 a took the fiver for another round! Sorry about that!

New to the area and keen to try out local pubs, we have eaten here twice and have been most impressed.
The food is locally sourced, freshly cooked - not reheated like the chains - and very well presented. They offer English Lakes ice-cream as part of their extensive dessert menu. Staff are always friendly and happy to chat. Prices are very reasonable for food of this quality.
It always seem to be busy with diners in the evening so they must be impressing other people too!
