This lovely little countryside pub is a great destination for those who are out in the countryside around Lancaster. The best dishes are the South African dishes which are consistently perfect :)

This pub always delivers! The food is delicious I think my husband and I have exhausted the menu. Everything is great love the local produce with South African twists. Whenever we have friends coming to stay we book a table at the Stork even though we live in near Poulton. The journey is well worth it, can't wait for our next visit.

Had a superb lunch today; the sun was crackin' flags, I was near Lancaster, so it was an obvious choice for lunch - the Stork. Fabulous steak sandwiches, excellent value for wonderful home-cooked healthy fare - delicious home cooked fat chips. As always, the staff were most attentive, exuding an atmosphere of warmth and relaxation. A stunningly beautiful building, in a great position - makes a working lunch seem like a slice of Heaven.
Many thanks to all who work there - a definite recommendation.

Went out to look at lock at Glasson Dock for school project, was drawn to the Stork by attractive window boxes. Lovely friendly staff, great beer garden and excellent food. Highly recommended.

What a great pub to sit outside over a sun-drenched Bank Holiday weekend. We had walked six miles along the canal and disused railway track and the two pints of Lancaster Blonde (served by a Lancaster blonde!) really hit the spot. Ashamed to say we were boring and went for the burgers on the menu but there were lots of South African specialities as well as the normal pub stuff. We will be back and a little more adventurous.

My wife and I decided to go to the Stork for dinner last night, what a find. The menu was an interesting combination of South African and traditional English cuisine. The food was excellent. My wife had the half Eisbein while I plumped for the burger. Both meals were fantastic, and the portions were generous, I was unable to clear my plate, which is unusual for me. The food was well presented, and piping hot, also the service was superb. Top marks to the Stork, I will definitely be going back there again.

We really enjoyed our choices for lunch at the Stork. I had the South African Pie which was chicken and sweet potato. My wife has the trio of sausages. We ate outside enjoying the sun and lovely views over the countryside!

An impromptu visit. Glad we did. Exceptionally friendly staff and a good selection of food. Service was prompt and efficient. The food was excellent. The South African specials are an unusual feature worth exploring.
Excellent value - well worth the trip out. Will definitely go again.
