we were at THEO'S last weekend, and we had a brilliant time, it was packed, and had a short wait but we were told this as there's only the owner chef in the kitchen doing the cooking.

I went there on Saturday night with 7 of my relatives and it was a truely awful experience. We waited an hour and a quarter for our starter and the chilli prawns didn't have any chilli on them, the food didn't arrive together and the order was incorrect. My chicken main course was raw in the middle and had to be returned much to the annoyance of the waitress, the orders for the main couses were wrong and the bill was incorrect and they tried to over charge us. Worse than the dreadful food (apart from the lovely potatoes) was the attitude of the staff who were incredibly rude, ignorant and aggressive.Don't waste your money!

My wife and I, fatigued and hungry, were delighted to find a table at Theo's. We told the owner's wife we'd be ok waiting if we could just have some garlic bread first.
We got this, but nothing else we had ordered, despite a wait of over 75 minutes, several enquiries, and despairing looks at the meals of people arriving long after us.
As we gave up and were leaving, the owner obviously twigged that our order had not been placed, and said the bread was on the house. Not so madame, who demanded her £3.50, and harangued us loudly as being better suited to McD's.
The food may be great if you can get it - we'll never know, but a place that treats customers like this needs a wide berth.

I'd like to reiterate what other diners have said - the chef and food are great but some of the staff (the chef's family, I think) can be very rude indeed.

I have frequented Theos on several occasions, and can heartily recommend it.To anyone who is looking for an authentic, warm and hospitable venue in which to partake of excellent food ,you would have to go a long way to find any better. The food is cooked by Nick ,who is the chef/owner and his wife Androulla is a superb and very competent manager of the restaurant. I have always found all the staff very courteous and friendly, and nothing is too much trouble for them.
My friends and I always feel like we have had a V.I.P night out made even more special when at the end of the evening Nick the chef comes round the room to mingle with the guests!.....yes thats what I said GUESTS....because that's how they make you feel.not just customers!
thank you Androulla ,Nick and all your staff for fantastic quality food ,service and wonderful nights out!

Just had to write and say what a great time we've had at THEO'S the food is great and seems to taste better each time we go, Nick is the owner along with his wife who runs the restaurant very well i might add she lovely and friendly, Nick is the chef and he is a brilliant one, he does it all on his own, the food is great as so is the atmosphere the staff are friendly and polite and nothing is to much trouble, you can still take your own wine although they have a bar and a wine list, plus house wine, it's 95p per person to take your own a small charge for the privilege. they sell soft drinks water tap, or other, it's clean and friendly and a great place to meet if your coming from different directions, like our friend it's half way for us and ideal. We visit Cyprus many a time but THEO'S food is better here than over there, the kleftico is cooked for 7hrs and its fab, my wife likes there mousaka, we've just booked for my wife's birthday. looking forward to going again. keep up the good work Nick Androulla and Staff

I am sending in this recommendation on THEO'S because it is the best in all way's, the food the service it's all good try the liqueur coffees there large and great. we were there Saturday night it was spoilt by a couple who moaned cause what she ordered wasn't on the menu any longer, the owners wife was very professional and apologised due to it being a busy night, its an extensive menu, and lots of choice. THEO'S is a lovely restaurant run by the chef and his wife, staff are friendly too were going back very soon......

I have been to Theo's twice and have no complaints about the food but don't go here if you want to be treated well and get good customer service. I asked very nicely about an item on my bill which I did not order, I was subjected to shouting across the room by the waitress's and comments, no kind way of showing you how the bill added up or any good customer service. Also the main server is very very rude, she went round the room rudely asking people to move their bags. Not kindly but very meanly "I might trip over it, move it". I have never been to a place where the staff are so rude. As I said the food is good but don't go here for good service!
