Really good to see this great Liverpool institution still open and trading as there are not many traditional public houses left in Liverpool these days.
I haven't been here for some time but used to be a regular when I worked in an office in the area about 10years ago and regularly had food from the special board which used to be great.
To my surprise I bumped into the old chef Dave Lee and he informed me he has been there 17years now and is still producing the pub favourites such as traditional Liverpool Scouse, steak and ale pie and homemade soup of the day. There were no specials available on this visit but I did have the scouse which was delicious washed down with a pint of Isle of Man Okells bitter.
Really great !

Rigbys is now under new management and as you will see its not looking its best. The mens toilets have become very smelly and the outside courtyard is full of ciggie butts that hsve not been bushed up for a very long time. The floor in the main bar is full of dust.Time for someone to do some cleaning!

Excellent food and real ale. They have a fantastic award winning chef David Lee who will always cater for your needs. Lovely Scouse, homemade pie of the day and full English breakfast. Best food pub in Liverpool.

Rigby's is a great pub ,one of the best in Liverpool. There is always a great range of real ales to choose from. I always love a bowl of their amazing Scouse. In the summer I like to sit outside in the sun, it's like being on holiday in Mexico.

Having seen the excellent reviews for Thomas Rigbys, I couldn't wait to try their food on a recent holiday in Liverpool. What a disappointment, the Scouse was terrible, it tasted as if the dishcloth had been wrung out in it! Very disappointed.

Good pub, Good beer ,Good food. Only it would be even better in they cold get rid of the moaning hag who stands at the end of the bar each day.

Thomas Rigby's is a great pub selling both modern and traditional food from nachos and potato wedges to sausage and mash ,fish and chips and the local dish Scouse.Food is served seven days a week 11.30 to 8pm and there is a great range of beers to choose from. The head chef David Lee has an ever changing special board and most food is sourced from local suppliers.

Thomas Rigby's pub has a nice new menu it's modern and upto date and has a new range of starters and snacks, the potato wedges with melted cheese and bacon are very nice.

Great pub serving fantastic food and great real ale.A great British Sunday roast dinner is served every Sunday ,roast beef is my favorite it comes with all the trimmings homemade Yorkshire pudding ,fresh vegetables, real red wine gravy and homemade horseradish sauce is available on request.A three course deal is offered for about £12,not bad at all considering it's all made with fresh locally source ingredients. The two fantastic chefs working there David Lee and David Hassell make all there own soups and pate. This helps food taste like food and not like cardboard which you get in most microwave pubs these days. The table service is excellent and the real ale is the best on Merseyside.
