Fantastic looking pub, new interior. Sadly let down by expensive food and drink. Also good beers served poorly by inexperienced young staff. A pint of Black Sheep costs £3.80 and 2 halves £4.00 Why?

Since change of ownership price of beer immediately increased by up to 15, another Nevison perhaps ??

This was a fantastic experience!!! I dined with my hubby and bub, and I had a steak pie to die for with the most scrumptious shortcrust pastry on top. At last, I have found a great pub with a chef who knows his stuff!!! The wait staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating ! I am also a chef by profession and I my standard of food I choose to eat is very high!! Well done to the team at the Three Houses Inn.

Just tried this place on the back of these review - we were not disappointed.
Lovely meal - sea bass with pesto and posh fish & chips. Lovely service & good ale. Busy on a Monday night, which is always a good sign. Recommended.

This is by far the best restaurant in Yorkshire. We had an amazing meal with friends and were very impressed. Great place.

An absolutely amazing restaurant! A menu with a wide range of choice, all made from fresh produce, outstanding service with a friendly face to greet you at the door and serve your table. As far as the selection of wines that are available goes, it is outstanding to see such a small restaurant offering such a great and reasonably priced choice of whites, reds and champagnes. An all round good restaurant!

What a little gem of a place! Fantastic food in a real, traditional pub. Fresh food, superbly presented, and good ale. What more do you want?

WOW. Fantastic freshly cooked food at even more fantastic prices. I would have to say the BEST place to eat in Wakefield. Goats cheese tartlet followed by fish in tempura batter homemade chips and mushy peas, friend ate chicken wontons and Monkfish roulade. All fantastic, just wish we were able to try everything on the menu.

The best food in Wakefield. Everything is cooked from fresh produce (and I understand it is the only restaurant in Wakefield that does) to a standard that you should be paying more than twice the price for. Nothing from the freezer to the fryer here. Good, friendly service and great beer.
