About Tilleys Bistro
Tilleys is situated in a historic old house in the centre of Bath close to the Abbey, Roman Baths and the Theatre Royal. The building was once the refectory for the monks of Bath Abbey and still has two huge original fireplaces. Spread over three rooms on two levels, the restaurant comfortably seats 70 and offers a French-biased but very varied menu which delivers fresh quality food at affordable prices. Signature dishes include French onion soup, Medallions of pork Dijonnaise and Roasted Guinea Fowl breast stuffed with black pudding, wrapped in pancetta and served with Madeira sauce and poached egg. You can finish off your visit to Tilleys with coffee and after-dinner drinks in the lounge area and soak up the French ambiance. Open Monday to Saturday for lunch 12-2.30pm and evenings 6-10.30pm, Sunday 6pm-9pm.

Initially we were a little disappointed as we had booked late afternoon and we were looking forward to the rabbit. However we were so glad we stayed as the pork was delicious and the service was welcoming and so friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed our evening thank you very much

I had lunch here on a Wednesday, it was packed full of what I was later told Matinee viewers. They managed to fit me in downstairs where the atmosphere was bubbly and warm. The set two course lunch for £10 offered a good choice, I opted for the red pepper soup which was rich and thick and came with a large basket of a choice of fresh breads, to finish I had the Boeuf Bourguignon which was very tasty indeed and came with a choice of new pots or rice. No room for dessert, I left replete. Will go again as I would like to try the evening.
