Food is compellingly priced, and the Curry Club night fare excellent, but the service struggles - the staff work hard, but there aren't enough of them.
If you go in one of their busy periods take sandwiches and a hip flask to see you through the wait at the bar.

Still generally good value for money, but seems like the prices keep going up whilst the portion sizes are going down. The bar is normally understaffed too...quite often just 2 people working on a massive bar, which can mean quite a long wait especially if people are ordering food.

The curry club night is really good value, portion sizes huge, staff very polite and helpful. Also you can’t go wrong with the beer and the burger deal, always leave as a very happy and full customer.

We always seem to get the same outcome on our many lunchtime visits. Excellent food, excellent prices, but appalling service. They are ALWAYS terribly understaffed, especially at busy times i.e. lunch time and teatime.
Trawl Boat Inn
Monday's are great. A round of drinks for four, including a double!, came in at well under £7.00. The food was good too. The service was excellent, especially Ben who is a complete babe!
Trawl Boat Inn
Bargain food at £2.99 for a burger and a pint, yet it was slighty over cooked, i had the minted burger that was really nice lots of flavour.
Trawl Boat Inn
A great pub meal at a fantastic price. Four of us dined we had two courses and two drinks each and still got change from £30.
The food was tasty and the portions large. The desserts were to die for especially the blueberry pancakes.
When we finished we were all satisfied without a big hole in our wallets......it makes you wonder if it is worth going to all these new posh restaurants opening up in the area.
Can't fault this restaurant at all!
