A notice outside this pub restaurant claims that all produce is locally sourced when possible. Seemingly it was not possible to source fresh beans, carrots or plaice in late September (2007). All were evidently from frozen.

recently had lunch and then came back for evening meal, it was fabulous, they have a lovely garden at the rear. the pub itself has so much real history. the food was great, so much choice, lovely staff (very friendly)and for such a small pub the selection of real ales were great to see. I would highly recommend this lovely pub.
