We were taken to the Abbey Restaurant in Penzance as a gift last week. I would like to put on record my despair at such an overpriced, pretentious Establishment. The fuss and nonsense involved in bringing to the table hardly enough food to feed a small child was absolutely ludicrous. The wine which was served with each course was ALWAYS late, coming after we had finished the measly portion on the plate. I would never go there again, nor would I recommend it. I cannot imagine how this restaurant will survive in Cornwall, especially in this difficult financial climate.
