I have visited Valentino's for many different occasions and they never fail to make you feel like you are special from the second you walk in the door where there is always a friendly face to be greeted by to the good night at the end of a wonderful experience. I have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries and just lovely evenings out, we have always had amazing service, nothing is any trouble for the staff and the food is always delicious from pleasing the eye to the flavour. It is definitely a place for everyone.

Booked a table last Thursday for Saturday night at 8.00 pm. Arrived early, which was a good thing as parking is very limited. They didn't have my reservation on the list, so was asked to wait at the bar. After about 15 minutes wait we got a table, and were told by the waiter he would fetch the specials board. 10 minutes later I reminded them, we were still waiting for it. Ordered & when the food arrived, it was hot, obviously freshly prepared, and generous portions. Were delighted to see one waiter, Gus, who had been at Bella Roma in Wakefield for many years. He remembered us, and his attention made what hadn't started out too good into a very pleasant night. A couple of little things like the offer of a drink on the house, and, unexpectedly, a plate of fresh fruit at the end of the meal was a nice touch. Think next time we go (and there will be a next time) we'll get a taxi, but overall, for a very busy place, well done Valentinos.

We have been going to valentinos since it opened always enjoyed the experience, BUT tonight 3 great meals 1 not good. Be warned to my surprise they do not like complaints, fillet steak with copious amounts of fat. The owner told me " its the LUCK OF THE DRAW" excellent customer service!!!!
I can see why we managed to get an 8 o'clock table at the last minute. This place really as gone down hill

I have visited Valentino's on a number of occasions with my Partner and family. I have found the food to be fresh, cooked,presented, and prepared to a very high standard, I have never had a bad meal at Valentinos.There has always been a huge choice of dishes available. I have found the staff to be friendly, welcoming and always eager to please. I would recommend Valentinos and advise people to book in advance as it can get very busy on Fridays and Saturdays.

We booked a month ago to go to Valentino's for our Christmas get together, booking a table for 8pm for 6. At 9pm we were still waiting to be seated, with the staff saying they couldn't tell us how long the wait would be. I asked to speak to the manager and attempted to complain, he wasn't interested and was very rude. On asking where his customer service was, he replied "if you find it let me know". We left. I am absolutely disgusted with his attitude and will never go to Valentinos again.

Have been to this place several times over the last 7 or 8 years.It started off excellent and then dipped about 200607.since then the quality of food an the service provided has improved and on my last visit was better than bibis and on a par with casa mia. The meat dishes are my favourite in all italian restaurants and the excellent sauces are a real bonus here..try the Valentino..amazing. Others in my family have really enjoyed the pizza and pasta dishes.The prices are reasonable by any standards but excellent for the quality of food served here.

I was surprised by the reviews re: friendly staff until I realised that they were pre 2008. This used to be my favourite Italian in Wakefield and the cuisine is still good but the staff can be very rude and abrupt apart from the younger short haired blonde lady who was very friendly. I am my recent experience on the past 3 times I have been, hence I no longer frequent this restaurant even though it is walking distance from where I live. I can highly recommend Quo Vardis though in the centre of Wakefield which is excellent. I hope this review makes it on as it will make for a balanced review.

The service at Valentios is absolutely appalling and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I can't actually comment on the food because in the end we had to walk out as we had waited so long to be seated. We had a booking at 7.30 and were still not seated by 9pm, at which point we gave up and had to resort to takeaway pizza instead. We had been told we would definitely be seated by 8pm but this was not forthcoming as was no apology or attempt to make our evening any better. We were just left in the bar area, along with a large number of other parties that were waiting for their tables too. I have never experienced such disgraceful behaviour and customer service at a restaurant and will never go there again.

Ate here last night, it was a bit of a disappointment. The starters were lovely (prawn cocktail and garlic mushrooms) however, the pizza was not fresh or home made and was definitely frozen. The pizza was a perfect round shape and had marking on the base. The tortilla was also bought in. This is not what I expected of an Italian and after reading other peoples reviews did not expect this. We will definitely not dine here again!

I am afraid that i can not agree with the other reviews. My partner and i went last night for the early bird special and our experience was not enjoyable.
My partner asked the waiter what was served with the Parma Ham starter and the reply was 'what do you mean its Parma Ham and Melon' although when the starter arrived it was a platter of Fruits with Parma Ham - the waiters approach was not at all helpful. And to make matters worse the Melon was not even ripe. The Garlic Bread does not have any Tomato on as stated on the menu! Main Course was very bland and extremely greasy the Pasta dish was served with Broccoli and a Garlic Cream sauce and was not at all appetising. The 2 waiters did not at any point throughout the main course ask if we were happy/everything OK. On paying the bill the girl behind the bar asked if everything was OK we told her no all she said was sorry! I will not be recommending the Restaurant and certainly will not be returning.
