When the Moon and Sixpence closed its doors in 2015, it looked like the end of the road for this historic Victorian pub. But new owners came to the rescue, bringing a more cosmopolitan, city centre vibe to the Glossop venue and changing the name to The Victoria Lounge. The ground floor has a warm and friendly atmosphere and is the place to relax over a drink with friends whilst upstairs the former residential space has been converted into the ground floor is a place to relax over a drink and the first-floor residential area has been converted into an intimate dining room which serves food every day from 5pm. The menu offers something for everyone from tapas-style starters to burgers, steaks, grills and homemade pies as well as a gluten-free Vegetarian/Vegan Menu. Nibbles are also served with extensive choice of drinks available downstairs which includes four hand-pulled ales, four lagers, cider, stout, four champagnes, 57 gins, 11 rums, 25 vodkas and 24 whiskies. Not to mention prosecco and 18 wines!
