Just as good as I remembered - tried the beer-battered prawns this time and was very impressed. Wouldn't mind a change from the standard "Spanish restaurant frozen desserts" menu, though.

While I found the restaurant a little cramped and the service a little slow, the food was excellent - especially the peppers with mascarpone - and they serve a killer Mojito. Definitely come early or book, though.

Been going viva cuba's restaurant in kirkstall for a few years now and have always had a great time. Visited their new restaurant in the city centre and am pleased to say that it is just as good!! Both restaurants serve great food with great service and all at a reasonable price.

We tried Viva Cuba after a recommendation from a friend... the food is delicious and the staff were very friendly, and it? amazing how busy the place always is. I would say value for money is ok; the portions are good size for money. Just difficult if you want to order lots of different dishes !!

We arrived at 6.15pm on a Friday night to find the place already half full, when we left about 7.30pm people were starting to queue outside, so get there early as you can't book. The food is really good especially the chorizo in rioja and the spinach and potato omelette. We had 6 tapas and 2 rounds of drinks and it came to £35 which is very reasonable I think. The sangria could have been a little colder if I really really have to find fault but overall a very nice culinary experience and you can park in the Vue cinema's car park across the road.

Great atmosphere and super food. Be prepared to have to wait for a table though!

Viva Cuba is the gem of Leeds. Every aspect of it is superb. Food, atmosphere, staff and the actual restaurant itself. I really can't understand why anyone wouldn't like this place. Yes, it may get busy sometimes, but that just adds to the night. Oh and best king prawns in the world. :)

Viva Cuba does the best Tapas in West Yorkshire by far. Visit regularly so that you can try all the delicious dishes.
