This restaurant was an absolute pleasure to visit and eat at . The food was excellent and I had to have my main course again because the prawns were that good . My fiancée and myself took our mothers to this restaurant before going to a show . The service was impeccable and the food was exemplary
We had an exquisite evening bravo bravo

This is a seriously good restaurant. Décor to a minimum and ambiance plain and average, but food and service out of this world. It is a place where to go, eat and go home, and what you eat is generous and very reasonably priced. It would be nice if it had a bar area to chill out.

I've been to this restaurant yesterday for the first time moved by curiosity....after I've read Lucarne's review. Well, I am very grateful to this guy in a funny sort of way, because I found out for myself that this is the best Italian restaurant by miles in Lancashire. To my surprise I knew the chef when he was working in Manchester in the best Italian restaurant outside London, and he is still cooking top notch. I know where am going to eat regularly now! Thank you!

Volare is highly recommended, I have visited since it opened. The atmosphere is so warm and friendly and the welcome is always great, they are a really hospitable couple. I feel really comfortable to visit on my own at lunchtime to indulge in fish soup, or whitebait. A memorable dessert I was tempted to was ginger trifle, yum!!

Finding myself in southport tonight, popped into Volares on Lord st, what a nice place !small, friendly and family owned and run. owner is the chef ! and really good food. Had Sicilian fish soup which was as nice as I have ever had, piquant and choc full of mussells. and a really good pizza with parmesan, rocket, parma ham and tiny tomatoes, it was enormous and I ended up taking half home for supper. Prices are very reasonable, 2 courses for about £13 and 3 for £15 ish , splendid value, will go again next week with the family

Been here twice now and both times the food was beautiful.
First time with my Mrs and we had a 3 course Sunday special for just under £10 each. Fantastic value for money. The second time with all the family for my son's 14th birthday. We all chose from the A La Carte menu which was obviously more expensive, but we were all full up and everyone of us had clean plates. Very surprising considering we had 3 children with us!!
Would highly recommend this place to anyone. A++

One of the very best. Excellent wines, Quality food. Limited space though. Think you should ring before so not to be disappointed. Fish stew sensational.
